Prediction of current COVID-19 pandemic in India by Lanzhou University
Data released on the official website of the Ministry of Health in India on April 19 showed that the number of confirmed cases in India on April 18 was 273,810, a new high since the outbreak began.The number of confirmed cases in India rose by 1 million in less than a week, making India the country with the largest number of daily new confirmed cases; the cumulative number of cases in India rose to 15,061,919, only behind the US.
Global Prediction System of COVID-19 Pandemic (GPCP) predicted the trend of the epidemic in India in the next two months, which will help India achieve a more accurate and reasonable allocation of medical resources and serve as an early warning to the local people. Prediction results indicate that if the government of India maintains its current pandemic prevention policy, the number of daily new cases in India would exceed 560,000 by this June, bringing its cumulative number of confirmed cases to 34 million.
